Event Wrap: February 2022's Driver Training and Experience Day

Images and story by, and thanks to, Mark Walsh of Throttlejamphotography

Held at Pheasant Wood on Sunday the 13th of February, the second running of the Historic Group N Association driver training and track experience day was a great success.

The day was very well attended and saw two cars new to the club on track for the first time in Ian Johnson's very nice Ford Cortina and the quick and improving Holden Torana of Damien Ross.

Three generations of the Stewart family attended along with Steve Pitman, Geoff Pike, David Stone, Chris Collett, Paul Battersby, John Burke, and Graham Russell and Jerry Lenstra. There was no shortage of advice to help guide all of the participants with continuous improvement during the day.

We’d like to extend a huge ‘Well done!’ to all of the trainees and young drivers on the day. You all did very well and your improvement in confidence and skill level was easy to see by the end of the event.

Special thanks to Ross Muller, David Roberts, Bruce Whitford, Paul and Jenny Tierrney, and John Battersby for officiating at this event. To the club, and our valued sponsors, we acknowledge with our thanks and also the Pheasant Wood Circuit and staff plus the NSW Government.
